Sands, grits and dolomite

We deal with the reclamation of land devastated by industry, in particular by mining and metallurgy, with a view to reconstructing its natural and functional value.

We carry it out, under the provisions of the acts (including the Act on Protection of Agricultural and Forestry Land, the Act on Prevention of Environmental Damage and its Remedy) through:

• appropriate relief shaping
• improvement of soil physicochemical properties (remediation methods: EX SITU, IN SITU, ON SITE)
• restoration of water regime
• reconstruction of the vegetation growing in the area (e.g. sowing grasses and other low-height plants, afforestation)
• revetment
• reconstruction or construction of necessary roads
• waste management

Different types, different applications

Natural aggregates are mainly obtained through mining, but they can also be obtained through recycling — most often through the processing of concrete and brick rubble. This option is beneficial for the environment, because it reduces the exploitation of natural resources and limits the construction waste dumps at the same time.

The multitude of available aggregate types with different properties and parameters allows for their optimal selection for various purposes.

Aggregates are most often used in the construction industry, and their applications include:

• production of mortars and concretes
• base courses (sand bed or ballast in the construction of roads, tracks, parking lots)
• construction of filter layers
• soil stabilisation for paving blocks
• raising the ground level, creating a driveway, etc.
